i was enjoying the budding orchid while vegi chopping. this is the first, of many, orchids i have yet to let die. it’s in a perfect spot in the window and this will be the second time it buds since we got here!
The 3/9 spouses decorated a tree/table for the OWC Tea Before Christmas event. Notice I’m wearing (as always now) one of my Bluhorse Polos. Well, that’s what happens when a gal comes from the barn to help decorate! I’m sure there was at least one person that wondered what “eyes up” embroidered at my back waistline meant as that doesn’t translate very well outside the horse world! LOL! I was worried about her being nervous but she fast adapted to her new home or at least her temporary quarantine one. She’ll be in quarantine for 10 days which is normal for military bases. I can’t wait for her to get out of horsey jail so we can really start to work!

We have a new member to the family. Carrara is a 2001 Verband Oldenburg mare by Contucci. She’s a pretty amazing mover and an in-your-pocket kinda gal! Carrara is an American born and bred mare and loving cared for and trained by Terry Smith of Riverside Equestrian up in Bluemont, Virginia. It’s official!.. The HorseGirl behind HorseGirlTV is fast in the saddle again!

We went to look at horses up in PA again and were fortunate enough to see some Amish folks at their Sunday services. Very neat! Plus we saw some great horses for sale!
I’d never thought the leading pads would also make a stellar mobile phone holder! I just love this mobile phone pad that Elaine from ThinLine sent to me! It comes in quite handy (and tacky meaning no sliding just like her pads!) for chatting on the mobile or hands free. I think HorseGirlTV needs to make some of these and give them away! What a kewl concept. Thanks Elaine!!!
